The PS3 is finished in the US only in that it will never leave 3rd place. The reason it will never leave third is because even at the rate the Wii is selling, it still has not caught the 360 in the US, once the 360 drops in price, which will likely be any month now due to slowing sales, the PS3 will NEVER catch it, like Sony and MS has said, the PS3 price is not dropping anytime soon.
Thus, PS3 is done in the US, and the US is not the market you want to lose.
